PURPOSE

To provide high quality S&C support to England Women’s Cricket. This role will require extensive UK based and international travel. The nature of the role necessitates working irregular hours in line with the requirements of the England Women’s team.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

  • You have a passion for coaching, motivating others and ensuring the delivery of high-quality physical preparation of elite female athletes.

  • You enjoy being adaptable and having a varied work programme including overseas travel.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Delivery of high-quality S&C provision to England Women players (and England Pathway players as required) including camps, home and overseas tours under the direction of the National Lead for Physical Preparation.
  • Drive and promote high levels of physical preparation.
  • To ensure bespoke S&C programmes for England players that help achieve individual development goals.
  • To plan and monitor workload and other physical factors in conjunction with other key staff.
  • To work closely with the Science and Medicine team and coaching team to ensure an integrated approach to player support.
  • To support and deliver specific projects and initiatives relevant to S&C under the direction of the National Lead for Physical Preparation and the Head of Science and Medicine.
  • Work collaboratively with the women’s professional domestic game and franchise teams to manage and support players between environments.
  • To deliver the effective use of GPS and other technologies in collaboration with the National Lead for Physical Preparation and the Head of Science and Medicine.
  • To contribute to the delivery of player rehabilitation as required.
  • To contribute to a culture of working within the Science and Medicine team that is inclusive, joined up and encourages high levels of effective team working and communication.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Current UKSCA accreditation.
  • Graduate qualification in Sports Science and/or strength and conditioning.
  • Extensive experience of working in female team sport.
  • A comprehensive understanding of physical preparation and workload management.
  • A track record of excellent team working attributes including high levels of communication.
  • High-quality coaching and programming skills.
  • High level organisational skills.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Full Driver’s license.
