The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body for cricket in England and Wales, formed on January 1, 1997. It combines roles from the Test and County Cricket Board, National Cricket Association, and Cricket Council, and integrated the Women's Cricket Association in 1998. Based at Lord's Cricket Ground, the ECB oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men, women, and various disability categories.

The National Cricket Collective Awards recognise the hard work and dedication of volunteers.

County Cricket Boards are completing their nominations for the 2023 National Cricket Collective Awards in what promises to be another incredible celebration of the hard work and dedication given by cricket volunteers across England and Wales.

This year, cricket will recognise the best volunteers in the country across 11 different categories. A Lifetime Achiever Award will be reserved for one special individual who has served the game for decades, while there will also be awards for – amongst other areas – Unsung Hero, Rising Star and Tackling Climate Change.

ECB chief executive Richard Gould said: “Cricket is a sport carried by the heroic efforts of volunteers across the country and the Cricket Collective Awards are a brilliant way for us to reflect on and give thanks to some incredible contributions over the last 12 months.

“There are so many roles within the recreational game, and the diversity of the role celebrated in the 2023 Cricket Collective Awards reflect that. I would like to congratulate every individual winner at County level, and I look forward to celebrating the hard work and achievements of the national award winners later this year.”

First-Class Counties and National Counties are overseeing the county awards from now until the end of November, with award winners announced at local events and on County social media channels. The national award winners will be selected from across those who have won County awards and will be announced this winter.
