Surrey County Cricket Club have confirmed the appointment of Emma Calvert as the club’s director of women’s cricket.

This announcement follows the ECB’s confirmation that Surrey is among the eight counties set to host professional women’s teams starting in 2025.

Calvert is presently the Regional Director of Women’s Cricket for the South East Stars. Calvert joined the Stars in October 2022 and has guided the ongoing development of the regional team.

Calvert also serves on the Board of Directors for British Wheelchair Basketball.

In her early years as a player, Calvert  participated in the Lancashire talent pathway before transitioning to a career in finance off the field.

Regarding her new role, Calvert commented, I am really honored to be given this opportunity at the best Club in the country and cannot wait to get started.”
