England Men’s Mixed Disability cricket team has announced its squad for a groundbreaking seven-match IT20 series against India, marking a historic first in international disability cricket. The side will bring together players from Physical Disability (PD), Learning Disability (LD), and Hearing Impaired (Deaf) disciplines in a single, unified team for the first time ever.
Callum Flynn to lead England’s first-ever Mixed Disability side
Callum Flynn, long-time captain of England’s Physically Disabled team, will make history as the first-ever captain of the England Men’s Mixed Disability side. The team will be coached by Jason Weaver and must include at least three players from each disability category in every starting XI, ensuring full representation across all formats of disability cricket.

“A huge moment for disability cricket” – ECB’s Ian Martin
Ian Martin, ECB Head of Disability Cricket, described the series as a turning point for the sport:
“When you’ve watched the Physical Disability, Learning Disability, and Hearing Impaired squads for as long as I have, to see these names together in one squad is hugely exciting. The standard is going to be through the roof. People who’ve never watched disability cricket before are going to love what they see.”
He also praised the leadership of Callum Flynn, calling him “a terrific leader” and a “symbol of progress for disability sport globally.”
This series not only sets a precedent in England and India but represents a milestone in global disability sport, pushing the boundaries of inclusion and performance in international cricket.
