Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited is back as Retail Banking Partner of Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League season.
Equitas SFB, the country’s largest small finance bank, was associated with the Lions during the 2018 IPL season, and renewed its association ahead of IPL-13 on a one-year deal.
“Equitas SFB is happy to announce its associate sponsorship with Chennai Super Kings, which is one of the most followed franchise in the IPL,” Murali Vaidyanathan, President & Country Head (Branch Banking, Liabilities, Product & Wealth), Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited, said in a media release on Friday (Aug 7).
“We believe that becoming an associate sponsor of Chennai Super Kings gives us an opportunity to reach a larger audience,” he added.
The Lions are the most decorated franchise in IPL history, having qualified for the Playoffs in all their 10 seasons, reached the final eight times and lifted the trophy thrice.
“We are delighted to have Equitas Small Finance Bank back as our Retail Banking Partner and are hopeful of a long and fruitful association,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said.
The 2020 season of the IPL will be played in the UAE between Sept 19 and Nov 10.
