Excitement is building for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, following the conclusion of the official pre-sale that saw over 200,000 tickets sold across the 45 matches being played in Australia from October 16 – November 13.
Tickets will now go on sale to the general public at t20worldcup.com from 1200 Midday (AEDT) on Monday February 7, and with over 800,000 fans expected to attend there is still plenty of opportunity to secure seats for the pinnacle global men’s T20 event.
Children’s tickets are available for every First Round and Super 12 match from $5, with adult tickets available at select matches at each venue from $20.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, so it is important to purchase early to ensure you secure the seats you want for the matches you prefer to see.
The top five selling matches of the fan pre-sale were:
- India v Pakistan, Sunday 23 October (MCG)
- The Final, Sunday 13 November at the (MCG)
- Australia v New Zealand, Saturday 22 October (SCG)
- Australia v England & Afghanistan v Group B runner-up (double-header), Friday 28 October (MCG)
- South Africa v Bangladesh & India v Group A runner-up (double-header), Thursday 27 October (SCG)
The fixtures for the event were recently announced with the First Round to get underway in Geelong and Hobart, featuring former champions West Indies and Sri Lanka. Hosts and defending champions Australia take on New Zealand in the opening match of the Super 12 at the SCG on Saturday 22 October, in a re-match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 Final.
