Federal Minister called on PCB Management Committee Chairman

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), formerly the Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan, is the governing body for cricket in Pakistan. It oversees and organizes all tours and matches for the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, the PCB represents Pakistan's men's and women's teams in international cricket tournaments.

Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee Chairman Mr Zaka Ashraf met with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi here at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on Tuesday.

In the meeting, discussion on mutual interest including cooperation between PCB and PTV Sports came into discussion.

Murtaza Solangi, on behalf of the Ministry of Information, reiterating full support to the Pakistan Cricket Board for the promotion of sports activities, including cricket, in the country. He mentioned, PTV Sports in that regard will continue to play its role in promoting domestic and international on its platform.

He expressed that under the leadership of Mr Zaka Ashraf, the PCB is doing its best in promoting men’s and women’s cricket across the country.

Mr Zaka Ashraf thanked Murtaza Solangi for government’s encouragement and reiterated that Pakistan Cricket Board is working to promote cricket at all levels in the country. Mr Chairman also mentioned that the cooperation of PCB and PTV is important for the development of cricket in the country.
