The Gaddafi Stadium upgrade project has reached around 50% completion, with significant progress on the enclosures and floors of the main building. Floors in both the main and office buildings are nearing their final stages.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited Gaddafi Stadium to review the project’s progress in detail. During the visit, he announced that a cricket museum and souvenir shop would be added within the main building.
Naqvi expressed satisfaction with the construction efforts and inspected the development in person. Following his visit, he chaired a meeting at the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) camp office to review the project’s design and blueprints.
Naqvi emphasized the need to expand the parking area and improve the exterior appeal of the main building. He instructed FWO and related officials to complete the project on schedule, targeting the stadium’s readiness for the upcoming Champions Trophy tournament.
“This stadium is now on track to meet international standards,” Naqvi stated, highlighting that the upgrades would greatly benefit both players and fans.
During the meeting, the FWO project director, along with senior PCB officials—including the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Infrastructure, Director of Domestic Cricket, Senior General Manager of Infrastructure, architects, and representatives from FWO and NESPAK—provided project updates.
