When I joined Islamabad United from Peshawar Zalmi last season, I wanted to put in a big performance for the team. I was feeling the pressure of joining a new team & wanted to show my worth. It is a team that has always done well so as the leader of the pace bowling attack I had extra responsibility.

When I joined, became part of the dressing room, all that pressure went away. The team, the management, everyone made me feel at home. It is an amazing dressing room culture where everyone is encouraged to speak up, everyone is backed. Its a very healthy environment. That helped in me adjusting very quickly. We broke the record for most group game wins in the season but unfortunately couldn’t win in the playoffs.

This season we will work hard to go one step further. I believe the squad selected is good enough to challenge everyone. We have a great mix of youth and experience.

I am most looking forward to once again playing PSL matches in packed stadiums. The crowd makes this league special. As players we feed off that energy.
