THE HOBART HURRICANES ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE WBBL|05 PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT.

HOBART HURRICANES WBBL PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT

Winner: Belinda Vakarewa

Finalists: Nicola Carey, Heather Knight, Corinne Hall

Belinda Vakarewa had an outstanding debut tournament for the Hobart Hurricanes. Her 20 wickets were taken at an average of 15.80, the third highest wicket total in the WBBL this season. It was a ground-breaking season for the popular fast bowler as she showed no signs of slowing down.

Hobart Hurricanes WBBL Head Coach Salliann Briggs had this to say about the pace bowler:

We knew Belinda had a lot of promise when she arrived, but what she delivered in the WBBL was world class.

She had some tough moments, but she moved on and used those moments as great learning opportunities.

Belinda has everything as an opening and death bowler, and I can’t wait to see what she’s got instore for us next year.”
