Chloe Rafferty has signed on for another season with the Hobart Hurricanes

Victorian pace bowler, Chloe Rafferty, is the latest Hurricane to re-sign for WBBL|07, inking a one-year deal with the club.

The former Melbourne Star and current ACT Meteors player in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) 50-over competition first joined the Hurricanes for WBBL|06, making her debut in purple against her old side in the Stars, before going on to play the final three games of the season for the Hurricanes.

The 22-year-old right-arm medium pacer said she jumped at another chance to be a part of the Hurricanes set-up.

“I can’t wait to get around the Hurricanes girls again and am really grateful that Sall [head coach Salliann Beams] has again shown faith in my ability to contribute to the squad.

“Last year we were obviously in a pretty unique environment being in the hub in Sydney for the whole tournament, so this year – hopefully – I’m looking forward to getting on the road with the team, but also really looking forward to finally getting to play in front of our home fans in Tasmania.”

Rafferty joins Maisy Gibson, Rachel Priest, Naomi Stalenberg, Molly Strano, Belinda Vakarewa and Tayla Vlaeminck as the players contracted to the Hurricanes for WBBL|07.
