Following the revelation yesterday that the Hurricanes will be returning to the north of the state to commence their WBBL|09 campaign at Launceston’s University of Tasmania Stadium, today it has been confirmed that there will six WBBL matches played in Tasmania this season, all of them featuring the Hurricanes.
The ‘Canes will play two games in the north of the state in October, followed by four matches at Blundstone in Hobart throughout November, reflecting the League’s desire to have the WBBL schedule moving forward to reflect a more traditional home-and-away format.
The Hurricanes will also be a part of the blockbuster final day of play of the regular season, at tier 1 venue, the SCG.
The Hurricanes full WBBL|09 home-and-away fixture is outlined below. The WBBL|09 Finals series is scheduled to commence from November 28.
