About the job

The International Cricket Council (‘ICC’) is the global governing body for the sport, which administers all aspects of international cricket.

We are currently looking for a ‘Manager – Broadcast’ to join our Broadcast team at the ICC headquarters in Dubai, UAE.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Broadcast, responsibilities will include overseeing the production of all live audio-visual output for the ICC, specifically around ICC events, as well as the production of non-live programming and other broadcast content in line with various commercial agreements and ICC requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

Responsibilities of the Manager – Broadcast include but are not limited to the following:

Event Planning & Delivery

  • Ensure that all ICC event broadcasts are delivered to the highest available technical specifications and in line with current commercial agreements and budgets
  • Manage relationships with the ICC events broadcast production partner, OB equipment partner and other technology and enhancement providers and oversee their delivery of services within approved budgets
  • Work closely with all ICC media rights licensees in the lead up to and during ICC events, including managing the information and relationships with ICC licensees’ partners from a production perspective
  • Draw out plans for effective technical operation during events
  • Execute venue inspections prior to broadcast events to ensure production partners have the facilities they require
  • Oversee production partners’ and other vendors’ contracts and ensure compliance
  • Ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved within budget and on time
  • Develop and manage operational plans to ensure that all live and non-live productions are delivered in a timely manner
  • Oversee partnerships with production vendors for long-form video production
  • Work closely with other functions within the ICC Commercial team –sponsorship, events and marketing, to ensure integration within ICC broadcasts and delivery of broadcast output as per agreements and requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Experience

  • At least 7+ years as a live sport, preferably, cricket producer at an international level, including 3+ years as a Senior Producer at an internationally renowned sports broadcaster/international broadcast production company or sports federation
  • Experience of operating in cricket/sports environments around the world
  • Experience in dealing with key stakeholders, including broadcasters
  • Good contract management and project management skills
  • Strong editorial understanding of the production process
  • High level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • An appreciation of diverse working cultures around the world
  • Learning – keenness to continuously discover and implement new technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Teamwork – ability to work collaboratively with others in the wider team
  • Customer focus – concern for the demands of external and internal stakeholders
  • Result-oriented approach – a positive, ‘can-do’ mentality, eagerness to find ways around obstacles and willingness to use all available resources in order to accomplish objectives

  • Role is based in our headquarters in Dubai, UAE.
