The Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final has approved Michael Neser as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood in the Australia squad.

Neser, who has played two Tests and two ODIs, was named as a replacement after Hazlewood was ruled out due to an injured left Achilles coupled with a left side strain.

The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad.
