The Event Technical Committee (ETC) of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 has approved the replacement of three players from New Zealand and Australia.
From New Zealand, Kate Irwin replaces Frances Jonas after the latter suffered a calf strain.
In the Australia team, Chloe Ainsworth and Jade Allen have both sustained thumb fractures which have ruled them out of the tournament. The ETC has approved Paris Hall and Ananaya Sharma as replacements for Ainsworth and Allen respectively.
The Event Technical committee of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 consists of Sarah Edgar (Chair), ICC Senior Manager Event Operations, Snehal Pradhan, ICC Women’s Cricket Manager, Sivuyile Mqingwana, Tournament Director, Claire Terblanche, (Cricket South Africa), Lydia Greenway (Independent), Stacy-Ann King (Independent).
