In a major announcement for IPL 2025, the much-anticipated retention lists for the upcoming tournament’s auction will be revealed in a special JioCinema broadcast at 4:30 PM on October 31. This exclusive broadcast has already generated excitement among fans.

The ten IPL franchises are in the spotlight as they prepare for the IPL 2025 mega auction. The retention lists will also be streamed live on the JioCinema app and website.

The retention announcement event will offer fans an inside look at IPL 2025 retention strategies, with exclusive coverage showing how teams are building their core rosters for the season.

With new retention rules and an increased salary cap, IPL 2025 promises to be a thrilling season. Fans can tune in to the JioCinema app and website for the live reveal, where each franchise’s retention choices will be unveiled, along with the players set to enter the mega auction.

The IPL 2025 mega auction is expected in late November, making the retention lists a critical part of team strategies. According to new rules, each franchise can retain up to six players, with limits on capped and uncapped selections.

Teams can retain up to five capped players, either Indian or overseas, and a maximum of two uncapped players, allowing for a balance of experience and emerging talent.

Additionally, the Right to Match (RTM) rule has been updated to benefit both players and teams, allowing franchises to re-acquire released players by matching the highest auction bid for them.
