Islamabad United partners with The Citizens Foundation for PSL8

Islamabad United is a Pakistani Twenty20 cricket team competing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Based in Islamabad, the team was established in 2015 for the league's inaugural season. It is owned by Leonine Global Investments through Leonine Global Sports, run by Amna Naqvi and Ali Naqvi.

Islamabad United, the most successful franchise in HBL PSL history and the winner of the first and third editions of the tournament, is happy to announce that they will continue their partnership with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) for the eighth edition of the PSL.

TCF is one of the leading organizations in the field of education for the less privileged in Pakistan. They had previously partnered with Islamabad United for the early editions of PSL. Currently their schools serve thousands of students in more than 1,800 schools all over Pakistan. In 2017 UNESCO honored TCF’s adult literacy program (Aagahi) with the Confucius Prize for Literacy.

Regarding the partnership, Ali Naqvi, the owner of Islamabad United said, “We have always believed that our duty and responsibility to Pakistan goes beyond our immediate work. We’ve taken pride in being a socially conscious and progressive organization. Our partnership with TCF is a testament of our dedication to our mission of implementing a strategy built around the principle of Empowerment and Education and how vital they are as building blocks of our society’s progress.
