We are excited to be looking for a Facilities Manager to join Lancashire Cricket Foundation at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket. You
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the LCF facility strategy within the recreational game, providing support to the network, partners and stakeholders – with the responsibility of delivering the five ‘Blue Print Projects’
- Organise the management of the LCF County Grant Fund, including using the ECB’s Investment Management System to process applications and provide impact reports.
- Manage the collection of facility data (both indoor and outdoor) across the County.
- Working with key partners, including Local Authorities and ECB recreational facilities planning manager to tackle inequalities in access and supply.
- To provide support and advise to the club network to plan, manage and finance projects that will create ‘Welcoming Environments’.
- Be the main contact for any ball strike queries and lead on solutions
- Support and influence the 27 Local Authorities across Lancashire with the production of their playing pitch strategies recognising the facility needs in each area.
- Work collaboratively with the ECB and the network to ensure joined up investment relating to the player pathway with a particular emphasis on the growth of Women and Girl’s cricket.
- Working in partnership with key stakeholders to help influence decision makers and planning authorities to leverage additional investment into the recreational game across the County.
- Be the lead contact and head up the development of ground improvements, workforce development, and the County Pitch Advisors
- Be an active member of the LCF senior management team
- To assist the Senior Management Team, as a key member, in the development and review of Lancashire Cricket Foundation strategies and plans.
- Contribute to the production of the LCF Annual Review and newsletters, including writing copy related to the work areas / plans
- Ensure the website and communications information related to the projects are up to date
- Promote equal opportunities in the workplace and delivering services, which are accessible, and appropriate to the diverse needs of service users.
- Assist to embed a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work flexible hours to include some evenings, weekends, and residential as required.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in facility development, planning and capital projects.
- Strong project management experience
- Strong knowledge of Local Authority planning and process
- Strong knowledge of Sport England planning and policy system
- Good knowledge of sustainable development and return on investment
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Experience of working on their own and as part of a team
- Strong & Effective communication skills
- Enhanced DBS Clearance, understanding of Safeguarding and EDI
- Flexible proactive approach to working
- Good administrative and IT Skills (Microsoft packages)
- Ability and willingness to travel for work with access to own vehicle
