Role: Commercial Sales Executive
Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Location: Uptonsteel County Ground, Grace Road, Leicester LE2 8AD
Responsible to: Commercial Director

Job Purpose
• To support the Commercial Director in generating sales across a number of commercial areas, creating and maintaining partnerships and business development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To pro-actively sell all identified ground advertising sites at agreed rates.
  • The role will require the ability to sell both defined packages, and tailored bespoke partnerships based on individual key business objectives.
  • To work closely with the Commercial Director to effectively deliver the Sales Strategy in line with the Club’s targets.
  • To be responsible for proactive and reactive sales of partnerships, sponsorship and advertising.
  • Continuously add business leads into the sales pipeline through cold calls, referrals and networking.
  • To liaise with commercial team colleagues in managing advertising site sales across club partner portfolio’s.
  • To utilize all available tools in pro-actively contacting new and existing advertising clients.
  • Organise networking events for Sponsors and Partners.
  • Attend external networking events and actively seek additional networking opportunities.
  • Achieve relevant objectives and financial targets for associated products and services.
  • Report sales figures and pipeline on a weekly basis to the Commercial Director.
  • Attend all home match day fixtures, duties as directed by the Commercial Director
  • Entertaining and looking after Sponsors and Partners on match days.
  • Any other ad hoc duties in pursuance of the objectives, as may be required in your role, as requested by the Commercial Director.

Other Duties:
• To establish effective working relationships with external bodies as necessary.
• To contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of Leicestershire County Cricket Club
• Actively demonstrate commitment to own continuous professional (CPD) and increase knowledge and adoption of ‘best practice’.
