Major Bangladesh conglomerate to be title sponsor of Bangladesh-Ireland women’s series

Square Group, one of Bangladesh’s largest business conglomerates, will be the title sponsor for the Bangladesh women’s cricket team’s upcoming home series against Ireland, which includes three WODIs and three WT20Is.

A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official confirmed the news to The Daily Star, stating that “it is a huge” milestone for women’s cricket in Bangladesh. This marks the first time the BCB has secured a deal for both title sponsorship and ground rights for a home women’s series.

“We’ve previously communicated with some big companies for the women’s series but couldn’t crack any deal,” said the official. The official also shared that a women-centric product from Square Group will be promoted during the white-ball series, scheduled to run from November 27 to December 9 in Dhaka and Sylhet.

The Irish team is expected to arrive in Dhaka on November 22.
