FOLLOWING THE RELEASE OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCHEDULE BY THE ENGLAND AND WALES CRICKET BOARD (ECB) TODAY, WE ARE PLEASED TO CONFIRM THE DATES FOR THE FOUR INTERNATIONAL FIXTURES TO TAKE PLACE AT LORD’S IN 2024.

Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies’ men’s teams, and New Zealand’s women’s team will all be visitors to the Home of Cricket next year.

The international summer at Lord’s will begin with men’s cricket on Wednesday 10 July when England welcome West Indies to Lord’s in the first of a three-match Test series.

It will be West Indies’ first visit to St John’s Wood for a Test since 2017, and they will be eager to avoid the nine-wicket defeat which England inflicted on that occasion.

Hot on the heels of the opening men’s Test of the summer will be a women’s T20 International between England and New Zealand on Wednesday 17 July, as both sides look ahead to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh later in the year.

Attention turns to the touring Sri Lankans in August, when the second men’s Test of a three-match series begins at Lord’s on Thursday 29 August. Sri Lanka’s last visit for a Test saw them draw with England in 2016, a match that will be remembered for Jonny Bairstow’s fantastic unbeaten 167.

We round off another huge summer of cricket on Friday 27 September when Australia’s men return to Lord’s to face England in the fourth of five One-Day International matches.

Guy Lavender, Chief Executive & Secretary of MCC, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming touring teams from right across the cricketing world to Lord’s next year. All these nations have a huge amount of history at the Ground, and it will be fitting to welcome them across the international summer.

“Today’s news confirms next season as our fourth successive year staging women’s international cricket, as we look to score a hat-trick of record attendances at Lord’s this Saturday for the Women’s T20 International between England and Australia. It is fantastic to be able to add international matches to a schedule that also features women’s cricket at regional, recreational and junior levels.”
