The Melbourne Renegades will feature in the opening match of BBL|10 when the season gets underway on December 3.
The earlier start to the season also coincides with more games scheduled in key television time slots.
The Renegades first home game will be on December 10 against the Adelaide Strikers at Marvel Stadium.
The club will host two matches at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong, while the home Derby against the Melbourne Stars will take place on January 16 at Marvel Stadium.
The Renegades final home and away match is scheduled for January 23.
Melbourne Renegades General Manager David Lever said;
“The earlier start to the BBL season provides some better spacing between our home games and will offer some great flexibility for families throughout the busy summer months.
“We’re in regular contact with our venues and we’ll be guided by Government and medical advice with respect to crowds.
“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Geelong and the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust. This is the fourth season the Renegades have hosted matches in Geelong and the region is firmly part of our DNA and something we want to continue to build upon in the coming seasons.
“More than ever, we know this fixture is subject to change and that is something we and the League will continue to monitor in the coming months. But as it stands, the spread of our home games during the summer and the broadcast outcomes are pleasing results.”

QUESTIONS?
Why the earlier start to the BBL season?
This will allow more matches to be scheduled in key broadcast timeslots complementing the international fixture. It also creates better spacing between our home games, hopefully making it easier for members to get to more matches in the event crowds will be allowed to attend.
Will crowds be permitted at matches?
We hope so!! Ultimately we’ll be guided by the State Government and health authorities as to whether crowds are allowed to attend and to what level. We’ll have plans in place with the CitiPower Centre, Marvel Stadium and GMHBA Stadium to ensure we’re prepared for a range of scenarios.
Will international players feature?
At this stage we are planning to have international players feature in both the WBBL and BBL season. We’re also in the process of securing some fresh local talent which we’ll keep you across in the lead up to the season.
What about memberships?
We’re pleased to announce a price freeze on all membership packages for BBL|10. Memberships will be on-sale Monday 7 September with Mates Rates pricing available for a month following the launch. Some exciting new inclusions have been added to our BBL10 packages – stay tuned!
