The Kardinia Park Festival of Sport will return this summer, leading into the Melbourne Renegades home game at GMHBA Stadium on December 30.

After a two-year break due to Covid, the Festival will roar back into life as a celebration of physical activity, health and sport in the Geelong region.

Prior to the Renegades match against the Sixers, Kardinia Park will host a jam-packed afternoon of free family fun and entertainment.

It will feature over 20 interactive sporting experiences and displays – including sporting staples such as cricket, rugby, netball and tennis, plus activities including disc golf, badminton, hoola hooping, boccia and much more.

A host of food trucks and picnic spaces will also be available between the activities.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Festival of Sport these summer school holidays.” Kardinia Park Stadium Trust CEO, Gerard Griffin said.

“The community truly embraced this event in its first two years. I encourage everyone to get down to Kardinia Park, try something new and enjoy the festival atmosphere in the lead up to the Renegades and Sixers BBL match.”
