The Melbourne Renegades and Liberty are pleased to announce a three-year extension of their principal partnership with the club.

The new agreement will see Liberty become the longest continuous partnership in the club’s history, committing through to KFC BBL|15 and WBBL|11.

Liberty branding will continue to feature prominently on the front of match day and training apparel and throughout a range of club activities and in-venue.

Liberty joined the Melbourne Renegades as a club partner ahead of the WBBL|05 season with a strong belief in the success of women’s sport and commitment to growing opportunities for women and girls.

During the course of the partnership, the Weber WBBL has grown into the most watched women’s sport competition in Australia featuring the highest-paid female athletes.

From that beginning, Liberty elevated their relationship for the following three seasons across both BBL and WBBL programs, as the Renegades’ principal partner.

Liberty Chief Executive Officer, James Boyle, said:

“We share the free-thinking philosophy of challengers with the ‘Gades. We’re delighted to continue supporting an organisation whose values closely align with ours and that places an emphasis on raising the profile of women in sport.”

Liberty is a leading lender that offers free-thinking solutions at competitive prices to support customers with greater choice.

Their innovative and flexible approach has seen them help more than 700,000 customers get financial over 26 years.

Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said:

“Liberty have been an outstanding supporter and partner for the club for several years now. We’re delighted to be able to continue to work with James and his whole team on how we build the next phase of our partnership,” Rosengarten said.

“Liberty continued to demonstrate their commitment to our club and a real belief in what we do, the passion our fans have and the benefits for their business.”
“Our two organisations have forged an incredible bond in recent years. We’re excited by the opportunities for us to support Liberty’s ongoing growth and connect our members, fans and viewers with their business and products,” Rosengarten said.

“Liberty is an award-winning business, and we have our sights firmly set on achieving the ultimate success in the WBBL and BBL over the years ahead.”
