The Melbourne Renegades are proud to welcome Solos as the club’s Official Platinum Partner and Official Fan Engagement Technology Partner.

Solos has a rich history in providing smart technology to leading sporting teams and leagues across the globe including the NBA, AFL and European Soccer.

“We’re excited to work with Solos and benefit from their expertise in bringing our members closer to the action,” Melbourne Renegades General Manager David Lever said.

“This year has shown how important technology is in allowing us to maintain our connection and we’re pleased this partnership will provide benefits and more opportunities for our members and fans to engage with their club.”

The partnership will see Solos and the Melbourne Renegades work together on the development and implementation of Smart Wearable Merchandise for fan engagement initiatives.

“Smart Wearable Merchandise is fast becoming commonplace in the connected world,” Solos CEO George Monemvasitis said.

“These capabilities have all been built from NFC Tag technologies that continue to expand in purpose and usefulness. Now we are embedding our Solos tag technology into sports wearables and the value for fans in doing this is endless.

“With this in mind, the Renegades will be working with us in 2021 to provide a truly 21st century experience to their fans, not only at the time of purchasing a product, but well into the future.

“As part of our partnership with the Melbourne Renegades, we will be continuing our shift towards customer empowerment, through the launch of pilot programs during the coming BBL season to test the technology with fans.”

The Melbourne Renegades open their BBL|10 campaign on Saturday December 12 against Perth Scorchers.
