The Melbourne Renegades are pleased to announce Marathon, the leading brand of Marathon Food Industries, as the club’s new BBL major partner for the next three years.

Founded in 1963 by the Dardalis family, Marathon Food Industries specialises in the production of food service and retail quality frozen foods and is Australia’s largest manufacturer of dim sims and spring rolls.

Marathon Food Industries is a family owned and operated company with family values at the core of the organisation.

The multi-year partnership will see the Marathon branding feature prominently on a range of club assets including the chest on the BBL playing jersey and on LED stadium signage throughout the season.

The partnership is Marathon Food Industries’ first association with Australian cricket.

Marathon Food Industries Managing Director Jenny Dardalis said the company was excited to commit to the Melbourne Renegades.

“This is a really exciting day for our company and we can’t wait for the Renegades’ BBL season to start next week,” Ms Dardalis said.

“The Renegades are such a strong brand in the competition and our products are similarly well-known by Australians. Just like the Renegades, our home is in Melbourne’s west and both organisations are synonymous with community and family fun, especially over the summer – whether you’re heading to Marvel Stadium or GMHBA Stadium to see the game or watching it at home with the family, our products are a great fit for entertaining and enjoying.”

“We can’t wait to see captain Nic Maddinson and all the Renegades in action this season as they strive to repeat the heroics of their title in BBL|08.”

In addition to domestic operations in Australia, Marathon Food Industries exports its products to the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and South-East Asia. Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten welcomed news of the partnership.

“I’d like to thank the Dardalis family and everyone at Marathon Food Industries for their support over the years ahead. Major partnerships like this are fundamental to what we can achieve as a club and the opportunities we can provide to members and fans,” Rosengarten said.

“From a Melbourne Renegades and Marathon perspective, we’re both all about community and entertaining so this partnership makes great sense to us. Together we’ll be working hard to support Marathon’s ongoing growth as a brand over the next three years.”
