Glenn Maxwell provided a huge impact for RCB to fire them through to the IPL Playoffs with a win over Chennai on Saturday.
Maxwell made 16 from 5 deliveries but it was his work with the ball that showed his quality, taking 1-25 from 4 overs.
Marcus Stoinis will turn his sights towards the ICC T20 World Cup after Lucknow finished in 7th place on the table. The Super Giants were even with Maxwell’s RCB but didn’t have the net run rate to make the final 4.
Meanwhile, Beau Webster has landed at Gloucestershire ahead of his stint in the T20 Blast later this year.
Australian domestic players will return to training over the coming weeks after their mandatory leave.
