Major WBBL partner and official cooking appliance manufacturer Belling has extended its relationship with the Melbourne Stars for a further year.

Building off the success of last year’s WBBL, Belling has renewed its commitment to the Melbourne Stars.

For over a century, Belling has brought clever and innovative ideas to cooking appliances and in turn has become one of Australia’s favourite home appliance brands, winning the accolade of Best Oven Brand in the 2019/20 Finder Retail Awards.

The extension of this major partnership will see the Belling brand present on all Stars player and coaches apparel, media backdrops and LED signage throughout the WBBL|07 campaign.

Belling’s Head of Marketing Amy Barry said “We’re excited to partner again with the Melbourne Stars this season. Maybe it’s our British heritage but we’re as passionate about this partnership as are our customers are about their cooking! It’s a privilege to support Women’s sport, we can’t wait to see the team in action this year.”

Belling forms part of the Glen Dimplex Group which was founded in 1973 and considered the world’s largest electrical heating business, with significant market positions in the domestic appliance industry worldwide.

Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch echoed Barry’s sentiments.

“To have the ongoing support from a global brand with such a strong passion for women’s sport is wonderful,” Crouch said.

“We are thrilled to have Belling continue their relationship with our club as a major partner for the season ahead. The WBBL is the most watched women’s sporting league in Australia, we look forward to furthering the work done last season and building a strong brand affinity with Belling and our members, fans, and the cricketing public at large.”

“Whilst this past year has seen women’s sport take leaps and bounds forward, it still requires passionate partners to provide support and nurture female participation. Belling should be commended for the work done in last year’s partnership and the ongoing efforts that will be visible during this year with the Melbourne Stars.”

“Belling’s commitment to innovation is a great brand fit for the WBBL. We’re excited about the depth of talent this season’s squad has and look forward to sharing our successes with Belling during the months ahead.” Crouch added.
