Eight Melbourne Stars from WBBL|07 and BBL|11 were snapped up in the Hundred Draft overnight.

Internationals Joe Clarke and Andre Russell were drafted at picks 2 and 3 respectively, Clarke making the move to Welsh Fire from Manchester.

It is the second year of the tournament which was highly successful in its inaugural season, especially the Women’s Hundred, which this year, will start just after the Commonwealth Games.

Stars BBL Captain Glenn Maxwell was already contracted to the London Spirit and therefore not available in last night’s draft.

The Hundred begins on August 3.
