The Melbourne Stars are pleased to announce that Romanian all-rounder, Pavel Florin will link up with the club for BBL|12.

Florin will fly with the squad to Canberra for the opening game of the season.

The Romanian all-rounder has become a worldwide sensation over the last few seasons, following his efforts in the European cricket league.

Now a veteran, Florin only took up cricket at the age of 31 and has since played 16 T20 internationals.

Florin has previously enjoyed a short stint in Melbourne with local club Surrey Hills.

He missed out on selection at the inaugural BBL overseas player draft.

Florin will travel to Canberra with the squad and will be available to meet fans before and after games.
