The Melbourne Stars will welcome Haris Rauf back into camp today ahead of The Qualifier against the Sydney Sixers on Friday night at the MCG.

Rauf returns following his recent call-up to Pakistan’s T20I squad, where he played two matches against Bangladesh, taking figures of 1-32 and 1-27 in those matches.

Head Coach David Hussey said he was excited to welcome Rauf back for the Stars’ finals push.

“We are thrilled that Haris was given the opportunity to represent his country for the first time. It’s been a life-changing couple of months for him and he’s been a great recruit for us at the Stars,” Hussey said.

“He’s taken 16 wickets in seven matches and plays an important role in our bowling attack. We are very glad to have him back and available for selection in the finals.”

With Rauf’s return, the W/BBL Technical Committee has also approved Dilbar Hussain as an international replacement for Sandeep Lamichhane who has been called up to international duties with Nepal.
