KFC BBL tickets are now on sale as the Melbourne Stars get set for their return to the MCG under Friday night lights.

In an exciting summer schedule, the Stars will also play their first official BBL fixture at the CitiPower Centre at Junction Oval for competition points.

The Stars open their home campaign against the Sydney Thunder on Friday December 10 before a second pre-Christmas clash with the Sydney Sixers at the MCG on Wednesday December 15.

The Stars take on the Perth Scorchers at the CitiPower Centre on January 2 before backing up with a Monday night home derby against the Renegades on January 3.

In a further boost for Stars members and fans, Glenn Maxwell’s side will play its last four regular season matches in Melbourne.

Tickets to Stars matches begin at just $5.00 while membership packages begin at $20.00.

The KFC BBL remains one of the most affordable family entertainment options during the summer holiday period, with every ticket securing fans a night of music, dancing, fun and action-packed cricket.

Tickets going on sale today has been made possible due to the high levels of vaccine coverage in Victoria and subsequent easing of state border restrictions.

It has been a busy off-season for the Stars with the signings of batter Joe Burns, all-rounder Beau Webster and internationals Joe Clarke and Qais Ahmad.

Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch said tickets on sale marked a milestone in the year.

“We’ve got less than 35 days to go until our first match at the MCG. Now really is the time to get on board – organise your membership or your tickets for what will be a fantastic tournament for everyone who loves Team Green,” Crouch said.

“After a long two years, it’s fantastic to see Melbourne starting to get back on its feet and the Stars a ready to lead that charge. BBL is all about family and we’re looking forward to entertaining the whole family this summer.”

“We’re also excited to be the first to play an official fixture at the CitiPower Centre in what will be a fantastic boutique atmosphere in January,” Crouch added.
