The fixture also sees a return to Ted Summerton Reserve in Moe which has previously hosted two BBL games but will feature as a host of the WBBL for the first time.
Fixture Highlights:
– 6 games in Melbourne including feature weekends at the CitiPower Centre, Moe and Ballarat
– A debut WBBL festival weekend in Moe
– 6 games live on Channel 7 and every game live on Foxtel/Kayo
Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch was thrilled to see the WBBL return to Victoria after a two year absence.
“After several years away from Victoria, I’m so excited for our members and fans to get the chance to experience the best women’s T20 domestic competition up close again.
“We’re looking forward to our weekends in Melbourne at the CitiPower Centre and in Moe at Ted Summerton Oval as well as Ballarat and bringing the game back to our fans who have stuck with us through a tough couple of years.
“This competition is vitally important for the next generation of female cricketers to interact with their heroes and we will be exceptionally well led by Australian Captain Meg Lanning and new coach, Jonathan Batty and I can’t wait to get started with them.”
