Term: Permanent

Salary: £37,500 per annum plus associated benefits

The Role

Middlesex Cricket, based at Lord’s, is responsible for cricket in the county, from Men’s and Women’s senior teams to recreational cricket for all ages within the 17 London Boroughs that form the county of Middlesex.

Reporting to the Director of Cricket, the successful candidate will be expected to lead the Women and Girls Pathway, progressing from an Early Engagement Programme through to and including the Women’s First XI. Working alongside the First XI coach and EPP Lead, the candidate will deliver operational support to the senior team and EPP programmes, while leading the pathway coaching programme. This will including delivering a successful Talent Identification programme that is fair, thorough and transparent for all parties involved. The successful candidate will be expected to add significant value to an effective club-wide culture, including working collaboratively with Middlesex in the Community – the club’s charitable arm.

Principal responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional cricket experiences to all players, parents and families, and create engaging coaching programmes that foster vibrant, exciting and dynamic cricket to engages crowds and wins matches
  • Provide operational and delivery support to the women’s first XI and Emerging Player Programme
  • Lead and deliver a fair, thorough and transparent Talent Identification process, including the launching of a new Early Engagement Programme.
  • Plan, organise and deliver a comprehensive County Age Group programme for the county’s most talented young players
  • Lead a coaching and development programme aligned to the Middlesex playing philosophy that provides exceptional support for the county’s most talented young players

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Desire to challenge themselves and those around them in the pursuit of excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in leading elite female sports environments
  • ECB Level 3 coach desirable – ECB Level 2 coach accepted
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with players, and coaching and support staff
  • High degree of organisation and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Up-to-date DBS check will be required (assistance can be provided)
