The Members Council and Board of Directors of Northern Cape Cricket (NCC) expresses its profound gratitude on the election of Mr Rihan Richards to the position of President at Cricket South Africa (CSA) following its Annual General Meeting held on 12 June 2021.
Mr Richards has been an integral part of the cricket fraternity since 2001 in various capacities. He became President of NCC in 2014 until his election to act in the position he currently holds at CSA in 2020. He has been an integral part of the architecture of the game both administratively and on the field. His immense contribution to cricket and sports in general for the Northern Cape has afforded us groundbreaking opportunities and a base to build from. As we celebrate his election, Northern Cape is proud and overjoyed to be associated with him.
The game of cricket in South Africa has changed, and we have no doubt that as President, he will discharge his responsibilities with the required diligence and fortitude. We pledge our unwavering support to him, his team, and the cricket fraternity. We are convinced that he will take the game, with the necessary support, to the next level.
