The Australian media is gearing up for one of the biggest rivalries in Test cricket, India vs. Australia, with extensive coverage. News Corp Australia has announced an eight-page wrap in English, Hindi, and Punjabi for both its print and digital editions, covering the five Tests of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).

The Indian team has already arrived in Australia, with the title-holders set to kick off the series in Perth on November 22. The special edition will be featured in various News Corp publications across Australia, starting from November 12. Additionally, a “16-page ultimate launch guide” will be published on November 17, which will also include content in Hindi and Punjabi.

Following the opening Test in Perth, the next four matches will be held in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. India, who won their last two Test series in Australia, remain the current BGT holders, a title the Australians haven’t claimed since 2014. However, India enters the series in less-than-ideal form, having been swept 0-3 at home by New Zealand, with key players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma struggling for runs.

The announcement of multilingual coverage has sparked surprise and excitement among cricket fans, including both Australians and the Indian community in Australia.
