Cricket Wanganui wishes to appoint a Full Time person to implement our coaching and development programme. We are looking for a suitably qualified person to be involved in both the delivery and design of our programmes. The role will have a key focus on the development of our junior players and growth of participation in cricket among school age players and ensuring that this is sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and Deliver WCA Junior Coaching programmes
• Plan and Deliver Introduction coaching programmes to Whanganui Schools
• Develop and deliver individual player coaching plans to identified players
• Support and upskilling of club, school & Junior rep coaches
• Help Manage the delivery of junior cricket programmes and competitions
• Providing reports to General Manager and WCA Board Requirements for a successful candidate include
• Coaching qualification preferred
• Previous experience in delivering coaching and development programmes
• Passionate about sport and cricket in particular
• Prepared to work flexible hours including a large amount of weekend and evening work
• Ability to deal with people in a positive and enthusiastic manner
• Ability to develop coaching plans and to plan strategically
• Competent in the use of current Microsoft Office suite products
• Full NZ Driving Licence
• Able to start July/August 2021
