Gujarat Titans are thrilled to welcome former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel as the new Assistant Coach for the TATA IPL 2025 season!
The new season brings fresh excitement and big changes for Gujarat Titans! We are thrilled to announce that former India cricketer Parthiv Patel has joined us as the Assistant Coach. Parthiv joins his former Indian teammate, Ashish Nehra, who continues as our head coach, creating a dynamic coaching duo for the Titans.
Parthiv’s cricket journey started young—at just 17, he became the youngest wicketkeeper to make a Test debut. Over his career, he represented India in 25 Tests, 38 ODIs, and 2 T20Is. On the IPL stage, Parthiv played 139 matches across six teams, including Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Mumbai Indians.
A crucial contributor in Chennai’s debut IPL season, Parthiv scored 302 runs in 2008. His standout season came in 2017 with Mumbai Indians, where he top-scored for them with 395 runs, playing a key role in helping them clinch the title.
Beyond playing, Parthiv has served as a scout for Mumbai Indians, a commentator, and as captain, led Gujarat to titles in the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2016-17, making him the first to claim all three major Indian domestic titles as captain.
