The Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA), founded in 1967 by former England fast bowler Fred Rumsey as the Cricketers' Association, represents past and present first-class cricketers in England and Wales. In the 1970s, the PCA established a standard employment contract and minimum wage for professional cricketers. It also helped create a pension scheme in 1995 and launched the magazine All Out Cricket and the ACE UK Educational Programme in 2002.

Trust takes centre stage at this year’s biggest cricket celebration.

Tickets are now on sale for a day of fun in the sun at the inaugural Festival of Cricket in aid of the Professional Cricketers’ Trust this summer.

Wormsley, world-renowned as one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, will play host to a number of cricketing icons on Friday 30 July for a day of food, drink, entertainment and, most importantly, cricket.

A celebration of the players, the day will kick off with a T20 fixture between our friends from both the Barmy Army and the cricket media.

Following this, on-field entertainment will run alongside net sessions with past and present players and there will be opportunities for individuals to get involved with a number of activities on the outfield.

In the afternoon sun in the scenic Buckinghamshire countryside, the day will then culminate in a showcase T20 fixture between the PCA England Masters, including the likes of Graeme Swann, Mark Ramprakash and Jonathan Trott, and an equally star-studded Sir Paul Getty XI. The full squads will be announced in due course so watch this space for further information!

Here’s how you can support the Trust by joining us at the Festival of Cricket between 10.00 – 19.00 BST on Friday 30 July:

Ticket options:

  • General Admission (Adult) – £30
  • General Admission (Children 5-16) – £10
  • General Admission (Under 5) – Free
  • On-Site Parking – £2

Tables in the VIP marquee are also available, and you can contact our Head of Fundraising Kathryn Ford at kathryn.ford@thepca.co.uk for more information.

Whilst the Festival of Cricket will be a celebration of all things cricket, every penny of your entrance fee will go towards the Professional Cricketers’ Trust in order to support PCA members and their immediate families when they need it most.

The Trust offers life-changing – and often live-saving – support to past and present professional cricketers in their times of need. Since 2015, the players’ charity has supported 426 individuals in the area of mental health alone.

And following a Covid-impacted year which led to an estimated annual fundraising shortfall of £140,000 for the Trust, the need for your fundraising support has never been greater.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday 30 July!
