Elite Cricket Performance Academy run 3 age groups of teams throughout the year, the academy plays against counties and academies in Long Format fixtures (T20 Test Matches, 40-50 over games and 2 day test matches) including domestic and international tours.
This programme “Middlesex Schools Cricket” has a focus on: team building, fielding, tactical work, mental preparation with Trials beginning in September for our sides: U11s, U13s and U15s. We aim to have a girls U13s side in the near future.
The programme is aimed at players who have not quite made county Age group cricket to help bridge the gap to County Age group cricket with support in the form of the training sessions and Masterclasses from Elite coaches who run workshops on a variety of specialist areas: Throwing and Power hitting (From baseball), Sprinting, Batting, Spin bowling, Pace bowling, Fielding, Wicket Keeping, Mental Wellbeing, etc
We are looking for a coach who can work on Saturdays throughout the winter, September to December, then January to April (6-8 hour working days depending on if the girls side starts this year). In the summer, we move outdoors for outdoor games (Sundays and mid week in holidays), tournaments (Weekend tournaments) and tours (4-6 day tours domestically).
The ideal candidate would have an ECB Level 2 (aspiring to work towards a level 3) – 3 coach who wants to learn and develop their coaching. English needs to be spoken to a confident level, coaches must be currently based in the UK and be eligible to work in the UK.
The perfect candidate would understand how to run teams and adapt to their needs and even help plan the training programme according to the age groups requirements with the head coach of the programme. We need the coach to be available to run fixtures in the summer and the entire winter programme.
Payment for training is based on experience, qualifications and knowledge. Match day rates apply for games and day rates for tours will be applied.
The coaches are encouraged for Coach education to attend all masterclasses possible to upskill and develop their coaching.
We want a positive individual, who is fun and enjoys junior player development. Playing backgrounds are interesting to know about, but your coaching background is far more important to us. We want a team who all want to grow as coaches and help each other grow.
We want our teams to play a modern attack branded cricket, looking to find ways to score of the bowlers better deliveries, be a threat in the field by diving, working as a unit with quicker releases of the ball and understand how to bowl an over and then progress into bowling spells and planning how to adapt for different batters.
Players will work on their technical skills in technical sessions with their own private coaches or with us in our skills development programmes which run throughout the year which this candidate is more than welcome to join.
