Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Whites’ Abbas Ali has been reprimanded for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during his side’s three-day match against Balochistan Whites in the ongoing National U19 Championship 2021-22 at Sialkot’s Jinnah Stadium.

Abbas committed a level 1 offence when he showed excessive disappointment after his appeal for a catch at slip was turned down after consultation between the two on-field umpires and said the fielder had taken a ‘clear catch’. As such, he was found guilty of violating Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel.

Abbas accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Ghulam Mustafa. The charges were levelled by on-field umpires Nasar Khan and Kamran Khalil.
