The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), formerly the Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan, is the governing body for cricket in Pakistan. It oversees and organizes all tours and matches for the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, the PCB represents Pakistan's men's and women's teams in international cricket tournaments.

Opening batter Shamyl Hussain has been ruled out of the Pakistan U19 series against Bangladesh U19 due to fracture in his right thumb.

Pakistan and Bangladesh will play a four-dayer, three 45-over-per-side fixtures and two T20s at the Multan Cricket Stadium from 4 to 18 November.

Northern’s left-handed batter Shamyl, who was part of the squad for two T20s will be replaced by another left-handed batter Ali Ishaq. Ali had represented Sindh U19 Whites in the National U19 tournaments (50-over and three-day) and had topped the batting charts in the National U19 Cup, scoring 316 runs from five matches, which included two centuries. The 19-year old had also represented Rawalpindi Raiders in the recently concluded inaugural edition of Pakistan Junior League.
