Shafqatullah fined for showing dissent

Faisalabad’s Shafqatullah was fined 20 per cent of his match-fee for breaching the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Players Support Personnel during his side’s City Cricket Association Tournament 2021-22 match against Mianwali at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Sunday.

Shafqatullah had violated Clause 2.2 of the PCB Code of Conduct (Level 1), which reads as: “Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground, equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match.”

Shafqatullah pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanction proposed by on-field umpires Rana Arshad and Farooq Bajwa.
