Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday organised an event for the national men’s cricket team to celebrate and appreciate them for their performances in 2021. Pakistan won seven of the nine Tests, two of the six ODIs and 20 out of 29 T20Is, the most for any team, including five in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

PCB Chairman and 1992 World Cup winner Ramiz Raja was the guest of honour and rewarded the players and player support personnel for their efforts, hard work and performances that gave tremendous entertainment and happiness to the cricket fans.

Apart from the players and player support personnel, senior officials of the PCB also attend the evening, which can be viewed here.

PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja: “The objective and purpose of this evening is to show our gratitude and, appreciate and thank you for your outstanding performances in 2021. Your performances have not only given tremendous happiness to the Pakistan cricket fans but have also elevated the profile and reputation of the country and the PCB.

“The way you attracted new audiences and forced the fans to reconnect and reengage with Pakistan cricket is admirable and this was only possible through the way you played in the 2021 calendar year and demonstrated yourself off the field.

“One of greatest aspect of your performance in 2021 was humility. You won big matches but always kept your feet on the ground, and this is something that impressed your fans and followers throughout the world. This is the hallmark of a great side, they play hard and tough but within the spirit of cricket and by showing humility and humbleness.
