Wicketkeeper-batter Cameron Bancroft will miss the Perth Scorchers’ KFC Big Bash League clash with the Melbourne Stars at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong today, after coming into contact with a suspected COVID-19 case this morning.Bancroft returned a negative rapid test result and is currently isolating while further information is gathered.

The rest of Perth’s squad – excluding Colin Munro, who is recovering from COVID-19 in Coffs Harbour – also returned negative rapid test results.

The Scorchers and Stars will lock horns from 11:10am, WST.
