The Perth Scorchers are pleased to extend its partnership with Komatsu, global leaders in earthmoving, construction and mining equipment, as the Official Partner of its men’s and women’s team.

The partnership will focus on continuing to enhance Scorchers fans’ connection with Komatsu by building awareness around their operations in Australia and the apprenticeship and career opportunities available to all West Australians.

Komatsu will again feature on the playing pants of both Scorchers teams across the 2022-23 Women’s and Men’s Big Bash League.

Komatsu employs over 3,400 people with workplace diversity, innovation, health and safety and corporate social responsibility being key drivers for the business.

Komatsu Australia Regional General Manager – WA Glenn Swift said the partnership with Perth, the Big Bash Double Champions, reinforces Komatsu’s commitment to becoming a leading advocate of diversity, inclusion, and equality.

“With 45 years history operating in WA, Komatsu is proud once again to be partnering with the Perth Scorchers as they represent Western Australia as the champions of both the WBBL and BBL.

“Komatsu’s partnership with the Women’s and Men’s Scorchers teams reflects our focus on developing a diverse workforce and forms a key element of our Apprentice Mentoring program, as these amazing women and men cricketers inspire the next generation of Komatsu’s team.

“Komatsu is known in our industry for developing our people to be the best they can be, so it makes sense that we partner with the Scorchers who share these values”

WA Cricket CEO Christina Matthews said;

“We want to thank Komatsu for their ongoing support for both our men’s and women’s Scorchers teams, it’s fantastic to have them on board for a second season.

“The reason this partnership is so strong is because our values and Komatsu’s are very closely aligned, highlighting the shared commitment we both have towards enriching, supporting and inspiring individuals and communities we engage with.”

Komatsu are hosting an Apprentice Intake Open Day on Wednesday 6 July. It will be an opportunity to speak to current apprentices and staff from Komatsu, as well as tour their impressive facilities.
