The Cricket Scotland Council AGM took place last night (12th April) via a virtual call and Phil Yelland was appointed as President for a two year term.

The formal business of the meeting, attended by circa 40 CS members and board members, included a review of the annual report from interim CEO John Lunn, a presentation on the 2021 accounts from CS Head of Finance Lucy Preston and a review from Sue Strachan the outgoing President. The new President also conveyed his thoughts on what he hoped to achieve during his term.

Louise Tideswell from Plan4Sport, was invited to present an update on the ongoing independent review into racism within Scottish Cricket. The informative presentation outlined where we are now and the next steps. She also informed the members that the anonymous survey has been launched and encouraged attendees to share this with their club membership and the cricket community.

The confidential survey will give more people the chance to contribute to the review and will only be looked at by the team at Plan4Sport. It will help the review team understand people’s experiences and shape a high-level report about anything that may need to change to address racism, inequalities and discrimination. The link to the survey can be found HERE.

Minutes from the AGM will available on the CS website in due course.
