- New tournament partners PORSE will provide free childcare at all 31 matches
- Over 26,500 tickets sold
- Corporate Hospitality is sold out for the Final – work is underway to increase capacity
With 100 days to go until the first ball, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 is announcing an innovative partnership with PORSE offering free child care at all 31 matches, so that parents can bring the whole family to enjoy the action.
“With pop-up childcare centres at every match, more families can enjoy the occasion, knowing their young children will be well looked after and entertained in a safe, fully supervised space. The under 5’s will be looked after by registered PORSE educators while their caregivers relax at the cricket,” said PORSE and Rainbow Corner childcare centres CEO Bhavini Doshi.
“Our event is all about inspiring the next generation – our partnership with PORSE is a first for ICC tournaments and means more families can enjoy watching the best women cricketers in the world,” said CWC 22 CEO Andrea Nelson.

The 100 Days To Go milestone is being celebrated by host cities around the country led by Amy Satterthwaite, Sir Richard Hadlee and Trudy Anderson in Christchurch, with play on Wellington Airport’s runway, unique CWC22 sand art on the beach in Tauranga, a tribute to women cricketers of the past in Dunedin and some Kiwi back yard cricket in Hamilton to mark the occasion, while Auckland remains in COVID-19 Alert Level 3.
“The buzz around our tournament is building. Over 26,500 tickets sold already proves New Zealanders will be on the grass banks in big numbers this summer. Our advice if you want to join them – buy a ticket from tickets.cricketworldcup.com.”
“We’re delighted with the strong support from our corporate guests, and are working with Experience Group to increase capacity at the Hagley Park final, where we’re already sold out,” said Andrea Nelson.
The tournament begins on 4 March in Tauranga with New Zealand’s White Ferns featuring in the opening match.
