The Queensland Bulls will take away an essentially unchanged squad when they return to Adelaide next week to take on NSW for their second Marsh Sheffield Shield match of the season. The Bulls will travel with 14 players instead of a squad of15, meaning rookie-contracted paceman Benji Floros will remain in Brisbane to maintain his bowling preparations by playing for Wynnum-Manly in the Bulls Masters First Grade cricket competition.

The squad is the same one which opened the first-class season with a strong win over Tasmania in the opening round of the competition, the opening rounds of which are being staged in Adelaide in a bio-secure hub.

Test batsman Marnus Labuschagne was prominent with the bat, scoring 167, while Australian squad quick Michael Neser produced a rare double of a century and a five-wicket haul in the same match.

NSW opened their season today with a high-scoring draw against Western Australia.

Queensland will travel to Adelaide next week to prepare for the clash with the Blues that starts on Friday at Karen Rolton Oval.

All of the selected squad will be available for their Sci-Fleet Motors Queensland Premier Cricket clubs for this weekend’s round.
