This role is a 12-month full-time contract commencing in October, based at Queensland Cricket’s head office in Albion. As competitions run over weekends, candidates must be available to work weekends, public holidays, and some nights especially during cricket season (October – March).
About the role
Reporting to the Systems & Competitions Manager, the Competition Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting Queensland Cricket’s Community Cricket team to achieve key organisational objectives to grow participation while ensuring high-quality administration of competitions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to participation targets by managing stable, sustainable and professional competitions including Club training and support.
- Competition Management via PlayHQ for targeted Associations
- Plan and coordinate competitions alongside the Association in accordance with the Australian Cricket Pathway.
- Coordination of match fixturing and result management of competitions via PlayHQ.
- Manage all club and team match day communication regarding cancelled / rescheduled matches and subsequent
- PlayHQ administration for targeted Associations.
- Manage all match day umpire communication regarding cancelled / rescheduled matches and same-day reallocation of umpires for targeted Associations including subsequent OfficialsHQ administration.
- Tracking of umpire assignment and venue usage for invoicing purposes.
- Club PlayHQ support through actioning player movement requests and troubleshooting match day issues / requests.
- Actioning end-of-match feedback requests in line with Association requirements.
- Contributing to Association communication, promotional and stakeholder engagement plans as directed.
- Performance monitoring of the PlayCricket App and match status across assigned competitions.
- Attend meetings to assist with minute taking and distribution as needed.
About you
The successful person will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in community sport
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people in the region
- High level administration skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Experience with the PlayHQ is preferred but not essential
- Problem solving skills and ability to drive system based solutions
- Current blue card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services Qld
